Returns

All sales are final. Task Supply Corp does not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. Please read this page before you order — and call us if you are not certain, because we would rather answer questions than leave you with something you cannot use.

Medical equipment is not sold like ordinary goods. Almost everything we supply touches skin or carries the air you breathe, and once a package is opened there is no way to make it safe for anyone else. That is not our preference — it is how the industry works and what device handling rules require.

What this means

No returns

We do not take items back because they were the wrong size, the wrong choice, or no longer needed. This applies whether or not the package was opened.

We still put things right

If we sent the wrong item, if it arrived damaged, or if it was faulty out of the box, that is on us. Call and we will replace it. That is not a return — it is us delivering what you paid for.

Before you order

Since we cannot take it back, it is worth spending a moment to be sure:

  • Sizes. Mask sizing differs between manufacturers, and a medium in one brand is a small in another. Widths on orthopedic shoes differ between men's and women's fittings. Check against your current equipment or your prescription.
  • Compatibility. Cushions, frames and headgear only fit within one model line. A ResMed cushion will not seat in a Philips frame.
  • Ask us. Call (718) 735-3400 with the model name, or the condition you are treating. Five minutes on the phone costs nothing.

If something arrives wrong or broken

Tell us within 7 days of delivery. A photograph usually settles it without a visit.

  • Wrong item sent. We collect it and send the right one. We pay the shipping both ways.
  • Damaged in transit. Same — keep the packaging, it helps with the carrier claim.
  • Faulty out of the box. We replace it under the manufacturer's warranty and handle the claim ourselves rather than sending you to the manufacturer.

Faults that appear later are covered by the manufacturer's warranty for as long as it runs. Call us and we will start the claim for you.

Equipment supplied through insurance

If Medicare, Medicaid or a private plan paid for it, the plan's rules decide what happens to the equipment — not this page. Some items are rented rather than bought, some can be exchanged under specific conditions, and the rules differ from plan to plan. Call us and we will tell you where you stand before anything moves.

Rented equipment

Hospital beds, wheelchairs and oxygen concentrators are commonly rented rather than sold. Rented equipment stays ours until the rental converts to ownership — under Medicare that is usually after 13 months of continuous use.

When you no longer need it, call us and we will collect it. Please do not dispose of it, sell it or pass it to someone else: it is not yours to give away, and you may continue to be billed for it.

Cancelling before it ships

Call us straight away on (718) 735-3400. If the order has not left us, we will cancel it and nothing is charged. Once it is with the courier it cannot be cancelled.

Questions before you buy

This is the part we would rather you used. Tell us the model, the size, or just the problem you are trying to solve, and we will tell you what fits — and whether your insurance would cover it instead of you paying.

This policy does not affect rights you have under law, including rights regarding goods that are faulty or not as described. Where an insurance plan's rules differ from this page, the plan's rules apply to equipment it paid for. Last updated September 2026.
