The hose carries every breath of delivered air, and its condition affects both comfort and performance. Cracks and pinholes cause leaks the device may partly compensate for — at the cost of noise, wasted pressure, and disrupted therapy.
This is the standard 22 mm hose (the universal adult bore) in the 9 ft length — the longer option in ResMed's standard-tube range. That extra reach helps when your machine sits further from the bed, on a higher shelf, or across a wide nightstand, at the small trade-off of a little more tube to manage. The light-gray ribbed design is ResMed's classic non-heated tube: long associated with the S8/S9 platforms, but its standard cuffs also fit ResMed's Air10/Air11 devices and CPAP, BiLevel, and APAP machines from other manufacturers using standard connections.
Note this is non-heated tubing. Heated tubes (which prevent condensation "rainout" when humidification is used, like ResMed's ClimateLineAir) are device-specific and are a different product.

Wash the tubing weekly in warm water with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and hang it to air dry out of direct sunlight — draping it over a door or shower rail lets water drain fully. Don't reconnect it until it's completely dry. Inspect it regularly and replace it if you see cracks, tears, cloudiness, or discolouration. Many users replace tubing around every 3 months.
