Headgear holds the mask at a consistent position and tension — and a stable position is what keeps a full face mask sealing, since a mask that drifts creates leaks. The Quattro Air uses SoftEdge™ headgear with rolled-edge fabric straps, chosen for long-wear comfort: the softer edges reduce the pressure lines and skin irritation that come with wearing a mask through the night.
This is the headgear — the larger of the two size options. (ResMed also makes a smaller, lighter for Her version.) Straps lose their elasticity with washing and daily wear, and the usual sign it needs replacing isn't visible damage — it's tightening the straps more and more to hold the same seal. Fresh headgear restores the original fit at normal tension.

The standard Quattro Air is a vented full face mask for standard CPAP and BiLevel machines. It's a different product from the Quattro Air NV (non-vented), which is for ventilators only and uses different headgear (62820 / 62821). This headgear is for the standard vented mask. Contact us if you're unsure which mask you have.
Hand wash the headgear weekly in warm water with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and air dry away from direct sunlight — detergent residue and heat both shorten strap life. Replace it roughly every 6 months, or sooner if the straps are stretched, frayed, or no longer hold their adjustment.

What's the difference between standard and "for Her" headgear? Standard is the larger size; the "for Her" version is smaller and lighter, in a lighter colourway. Both do the same job — choose the fit that matches you.
