It's an UltraCompact full face cushion — it seals below the nostrils and over the mouth (not across the nasal bridge), so there's no bridge pressure and a clear field of view. As a full face cushion, it suits mouth breathers and people with nasal congestion.
This one cushion fits both AirTouch F30i versions — the Clear (transparent frame) and the Comfort (fabric-wrapped frame) share the same ComfiSoft/AdaptiSeal cushion.
AirTouch (ComfiSoft) vs AirFit (silicone): this fabric-over-silicone cushion is for the AirTouch F30i. The AirFit F30i uses a plain silicone cushion instead — a different part.
The F30i and X30i masks share a frame, and cushions may physically click across them — but ResMed has not clinically validated cross-using cushions between the F30i and X30i (each has its own venting and CO₂-washout design). Use this cushion only with the AirTouch F30i.
Because it's a fabric-and-foam-style cushion, care for it per ResMed's AirTouch guidance — fabric/foam cushions are not cleaned like silicone (don't submerge/scrub). Keep it dry, away from direct sunlight. Fabric cushions are typically replaced a little more often than silicone — replace it when it loses softness, looks soiled or discoloured, or no longer seals well.
