The AirFit X30i solves a specific problem: you breathe through your mouth (so you need full-face coverage), but you find traditional full face masks bulky, claustrophobic, or leaky, or you want to move freely in your sleep. Its answer is a dual-cushion, oral-nasal design:
Together they give the coverage of a full face mask with the seal and stability of nasal pillows — and because nothing crosses the bridge of the nose, you keep a clear field of view for reading, TV, or glasses. The top-of-head tube routes the hose up and away so you can sleep on your side, back, or stomach without tube drag, and QuietAir™ venting keeps exhalation quiet. Magnetic clips and a quick-release elbow make fitting and nighttime disconnection easy.
It's often a strong fit for people who liked the AirFit F30 / F30i but struggled with nasal leaks, and it's a modern successor to the concept of the discontinued Mirage Liberty.
Because this is the Starter Pack, it's designed to help you dial in your fit — typically including all nasal pillow sizes (S/M/L) alongside the one-size oral cushion. The X30i shares its frame and headgear with the AirFit F30i.
This mask uses magnetic clips. Magnets are contraindicated for some people — including those with certain active implants (pacemakers, ICDs, neurostimulators, CSF shunts, insulin/infusion pumps) or metallic implants/objects (aneurysm clips, stents, metallic eye fragments, certain ocular or hearing implants).
