On the AirFit N30i, the cradle cushion does two jobs: it's the seal (a soft silicone cradle that rests under the nostrils, curving around the sides without going inside them or over the bridge), and it's also the connecting link that joins the two hollow side-arms of the SpringFit frame, carrying air to the nose.
Because it's in direct contact with the skin and airflow, it's the fastest-wearing part of the mask. Silicone softens, stretches, and loses its shape with nightly use, facial oils, and washing. The wear is gradual, so most people don't notice the cushion itself — they notice more leaks or that they're adjusting the headgear more to hold the seal. That's the tell. A fresh cushion restores the original seal.
Sizing: the N30i cradle cushion comes in Small, Medium, Small-Wide, and Wide (color-coded). Getting the size right matters — the cradle needs to sit under the nostrils and seal without blocking them.
Interchangeable with P30i: the N30i nasal cradle cushion is interchangeable with the AirFit P30i — so if you switch between the two masks, the cushions carry over. Note: it's not the same as the front-connecting AirFit N30 cushion.

Wash the cushion daily in warm water with a mild soap, rinse thoroughly, and air dry away from direct sunlight — facial oils degrade silicone fastest. Replace it roughly every 1–3 months, or sooner if it feels sticky or stiff, looks cloudy or discoloured, has lost its shape, or if you find yourself adjusting the headgear to stop leaks.

Which masks does it fit? The ResMed AirFit N30i — and it's interchangeable with the AirFit P30i.
Will it fit my AirFit N30 (front-connect)? No — the front-connecting N30 uses a different cushion. This is the N30i (tube-up) cushion.
